Sony Launches BRAVIA Theatre Line-Up

Dubai: Sony has officially announced its 2025 BRAVIA Theatre home audio line-up, designed to deliver an immersive cinematic experience within the comfort of your living room.

The announcement was made on April 8, 2025, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The new products include the BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6, Theatre System 6, Rear 8 speakers, and Sub 7 subwoofer — all engineered to replicate the surround sound quality of traditional cinema setups that use ceiling and wall-mounted speakers for dynamic sound fields.

Sony’s goal is to shrink the gap between the sound quality of professional cinema and home entertainment, with each product in the new line crafted to channel the exact sound experience intended by film sound designers.

The BRAVIA Theatre Bar 6 is a 3.1.2 channel soundbar paired with a wireless subwoofer, offering Dolby Atmos and DTS:X support to create layered, room-filling audio.

Its Vertical Surround Engine and S-Force PRO Front Surround replicate multi-dimensional effects, while the AI-powered Voice Zoom 3 enhances voice clarity during dialogue-heavy scenes.

The BRAVIA Theatre System 6 goes a step further with a 5.1 channel setup delivering 1000W of power for deeper, richer sound, and includes features like Multi Stereo for a more enveloping audio field.

For users seeking to boost their setup, the optional BRAVIA Theatre Rear 8 and Sub 7 can be wirelessly added. The Rear 8 enables 360 spatial sound mapping, while the compact Sub 7 deepens low-end frequencies to let users feel the intensity of action scenes.

These devices pair seamlessly with Sony's new BRAVIA TVs and cinema projectors. The BRAVIA Connect app simplifies the user experience by offering control of both TV and audio settings through a smartphone, while the integrated UI allows volume and sound settings to appear directly on the BRAVIA Quick Settings menu.

This convenience allows viewers to remain focused on their entertainment without toggling multiple remotes or interfaces.

Sony's heritage in filmmaking tools like cinema cameras and professional monitors gives them a unique insight into the film industry, enabling them to develop home audio systems that accurately reflect a filmmaker’s vision.

The new BRAVIA Theatre range is a product of this deep understanding, bringing professional-grade audio into private homes.

Beyond performance, Sony is also embracing environmental responsibility. Under its ‘Road to Zero’ sustainability initiative, Sony has reduced virgin plastic use in packaging.

The speaker fabrics are made from recycled PET bottles, selected carefully to ensure quality sound performance and visual elegance.

Accessibility has also been prioritized, with tactile indicators and QR codes for visually impaired users, helping them navigate installation and controls using the BRAVIA Connect app with screen reader support.

With this new BRAVIA Theatre line-up, Sony is making a bold statement: the full cinema experience no longer needs to be reserved for a trip to the theater. It’s coming home.
